Black Tusk Studios working on “four unannounced new IP”

Microsoft’s Black Tusk Studios in Vancouver has four games in development, according to a LinkedIn resume belonging to the firm’s senior product manager/product planner, Jonathan Browne.

According to Browne, during his stint at the studio since 2010, he has “been the primary product manager on four unannounced new IP,” and has been a “key contributor to bringing these IP from the very early concept phase through green light to production.”

Microsoft announced its Vancouver studio was renamed Black Tusk Studios back in November, and that was “working on Microsoft’s next big entertainment franchise.”

Studio manager Mike Crump also said at the time the firm was working on what it hoped would be the “next Halo”.

Thanks, Gematsu.

Sorry MS, I’ll believe it when I see it. You lie to me entirely to much this generation. I bet you it’s some fucking kinect crap.

Normally news like this would be joyful, but i gotta wonder as well how much of this is Kinect?

Hopefully all Launch Titles for NextBox can’t want to find out.

Hopefully at least ONE title that is NOT Halo, is not Gears, Forza, or Fable. But all of those aren’t developed by that studio anyway. But let’s just hope at least one title that is not for Kinect and is for the real gamers out there. For the folks that made MS’ console with in the first place.

Maybe someone should point out, that it’s not Black Tusk who are working on 4 new ips, but Microsoft Game Studios. But that’s just from 1 guy, there might be more.

@4

After THAT e3;

Ghost Recon, Mass Effect 3, Fable Journey,and Steel Battalion; don’t you feel MS has only proved Kinect DOESN’T work well with most games?

Maybe Kinect 2 will, but that’s firmly for MS to prove, we have every right to be apprehensive.

What’s wrong with new XBLA IP’s?

Let’s not forget the frequent presence of XBLA titles in peoples GOTY lists.

They are every bit as valid (and high quality) as AAA titles.
