Yay, another monster slayer game. The most original thing ever.

I certainly wouldn’t back this. But what I would back? An inverse of it. See, I’d really enjoy a game from the perspective of the monster, with some tower defence built in. Like a topside Dungeon Keeper with less minions and a MOBA feel in regards to how you have an avatar in the world.

So you’d lay out traps, minions, and things and you’d have hordes of soldiers marching through your little lair, with the odd hero backing them up. All culminating in some kind of battle with a legendary hero. It’d be pretty funny to do this as something of a parody game, too, with the kingdom ‘framing’ various monsters for misdeeds so that they can collect the magical resources from a monster’s lair. Ah politics.

Now that? That’s something I would play the hell out of.

You complain about it being just “another” hack ‘n slay game and think the antidote would be a tower defense game? Are you joking?
