GameStop – 65% of digital revenue attributed to Xbox 360, 28-30% to PS3 offerings

GameStop’s director of digital content, Brad Schliesser, has told Gamasutra that half the retail chains customers who purchased digital games and add-ons were first-time buyers. He said such in-store offerings make thing easy for those without a credit card or who are leery of entering their financial information online. Schliesser said 65% of the firm’s revenue from digital items came from Xbox 360 offerings and 28-30% from PS3 offerings. Less than 10% came from Steam offerings and other platforms. Thanks, GI International.

Makes sense but does that also include 360 sub cards? If so that would make up a huge healthy amount of their percentage. People need those cards to play COD online and most people are dumb not to invest in a year and just 3 months over and over when it cost them more in the long run.

Dumb people as in adults not the kids who can’t really afford the $60 year sub with their mowing lawn/allowance money.
