Monday, 14th January 2013 01:04 GMT By Naren Hooson

A news post on the Carmageddon site has stated that the team will most likely be working on Carmageddon: Reincarnation for most of 2013 due to the increased budget aquired from the successful Kickstarter campaign.

The news post, courtesy of N4G, also details where development is up to, the bonus system, levels, development of cars and shows a few early screen shots. It also mentions that the Android port, Carmageddon 1, is still in progress, but has taken a back seat to Carmageddon: Reincarnation.

A teaser trailer can be viewed below.

One of the reasons I got my own PC in the 90s was to play Carmageddon 2, the fact that crashing into a wall or object, the car deformed to the shape of that object was totally new to me. Also if you hit a solid object with half your car is was possible to split the car.

So when the kickstarter appeared, I backed it. I can’t wait for the game. Nobby and the team keep everyone updated on progress. Though I’m still waiting for the android port, they did supply us all with gog.com codes to get the original Carmageddon which runs a treat.

    They’re a good bunch :)
