The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct shows off stealth gameplay

Wednesday, 2nd January 2013 00:52 GMT By Brenna Hillier

The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct is the latest entry in the suddenly crowded first-person zombie survival genre; this short gameplay video shows off Terminal reality’s take.

Licensed by AMC rather than franchise creator Robert Kirkman – somewhat embarrassingly, as it happens – the shooter is based on the TV show, rather than the comics. It follows the adventures of Daryl and Merle Dixon, who will be voiced by their respective actors, and takes place prior to the show’s timeline.

Terminal Reality is very proud of its plans to have the zombies behave as they do in the show’s canon, some of which you can see in action in the footage below.

Survival Instinct is expected sometime this year on PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

Update: The trailer is an unofficial fan edit.

The first Zombie killed in the video had plastic hair!! Are zombies embarrassed about baldness?

Is their a lego wig shop nearby that’s been raided??

    Is this another crass cash-in?

This video raises more questions than answers!

Personally I will wait for DayZ as the creator seems like a cool guy and he did kinda come up with the concept first.

Also like the look of State of Decay on xbox live as they seem to have actually put some proper dev time into it.

Are we going to see a whole new barrage of zombie games now due to the critical success of TWD Telltale game?

God I hope not. This looks fucking dire imo.

    Meh, another zombie videogame.

We need more screen swirling battles and interactive cutscenes. And most of all produced by SONY™.

I prefer a break and a swirl. Nice combo that.

Man this looks terrible. Completely underwhelming. when is somebody gonna nut up and throw down on a triple A zombie horror survival game? And I mean a good one. Probably next gen.
