Swords & Soldiers coming to 3DS eShop

Romino Games' charming side-scrolling strategy effort Swords & Soldiers is headed to 3DS.

The 3DS version is in development for digital release thanks to Circle Entertainment, according to Siliconera. The Hong Kong studio, best known for its DSiWare releases, approached Dutch indie Romino Games about producing a port.

“We reached out to Ronimo a few months ago. They’re very nice and they’re happy to do a 3DS version of Swords & Soldiers," CEO Chris Chau told the site.

“We’re still discussing with Ronimo the possibility of offering free DLC and a demo to players.”

Chau said he expects the port may be available as early as northern spring.

Swords & Soldiers pits three factions against each other; it was originally released on WiiWare before heading to Steam, the PlayStation Network and the App Store.
