Wurm Online's beta finally ends next week after six and a half years

Wurm Online finally has a launch date after spending six and a half years in beta. According to the developer blog, the free-to-play MMO in which everything in it is crafted and created by players, will release via version 1.0 on December 12. Created by Code Club AB, the game's development was overseen by Markus "Notch" Persson and Rolf Jansson under Onetoofree AB and includes servers with a focus on PvP, PvE, or one on virtual economies. Wurm went into beta in 2003 and went gold in 2006. Persson left the project in 2007.
