inSANE back in development at new studio – report

inSANE, the action-horror title from Guillermo del Toro, is back in development at a new studio according to a Bloody Disgusting report. Formerly in the works with Volition, THQ cancelled the game in August. According to del Toro, the first studio he shopped the game to gave it the greenlight. The studio in question has not been announced, although del Toro has previously voiced his affection for Valve, and the first entry in the game isn’t slated to hit retail until 2015 at the earliest. Thanks, Gematsu.

Valve are too busy not making games.

I bet CD Projekt Red could do some awesome stuff with a Cthulhu game. I don’t think they have the capacity for more than one project though, sadly.

@5, don’t they have 2 on the go right now? New Witcher and Cyberpunk?

@6 Oh really? I haven’t been paying attention, I thought they only had the one team.

Either way, that’s one of few studios I’d count on for getting the Lovecraft mood right.

Please be a great studio. Please be a great studio. Please be a great studio. Please be a great studio. I didn’t copy past those and I don’t know why. A game from Del Toro deserves a great studio.
