After the surprise departure of 20 year veteran David Yarnton in June, Nintendo UK has named Simon Kemp as replacement general manager. MCV reports Kemp is a new face in the games industry, having previously served at Unilever and GlaxoSmithKline. Kemp says he’s “extremely excited” to join Nintendo right as the Wii U launches, and Nintendo of Europe president Satoru Shibata said Kemp “brings fantastic brand experience with him” as well as possessing “versatility and leadership”.
