Black Oops 2: Some retail copies have shipped with Mass Effect 2 as the second disc
Many gamers have waited a long time to get their mitts on Black Ops 2. Treyarch’s title finally released overnight, but some PC users have experienced a frustrating few hours with the game. Well, with a game. It seems some retail copies of Black Ops 2 have shipped with EA’s Mass Effect 2 in place of the second disc.
Both the Reddit and Steam communities have erupted in displeasure.
One user highlighted his distress with a YouTube video (NSFW):
Has anybody else experienced this?

I would defend Treyarch and say that it’s not their fault and even barely Activision’s. It’s the factory making DVDs for them. But as always here goes the main question which always comes to my mind while playing almost every modern game: IS THERE ANY FUCKING Q&A THERE?! So they didn’t get the retail copy, didn’t install it on their computers just to ensure that everything is ok?

It’s not exactly world ending. It’s a steam key anyway so they can download the rest of the game.
But yeah, this is a huge fuck up. More so because well… Activision are selling EA’s property. This is going to be hilarious.

@2 and 5: Well, I think this mistake took place at the manufacturing-side. It seems that not all copies are fucked up and therefore they prbly checked one copy back at the office and everything’s fine. Seems like they chose the same manufacture like EA did before and at sometime during the production some – indeed very funny – person changed the “to be pressed on the dvd”-build.

BLOPS2 is a Steamworks game though, right? You can fire the activation key into Steam and download the data, the discs are coasters anyway.
