Google Play has close to 700,000 apps

Tuesday, 30th October 2012 23:21 GMT By Brenna Hillier

Google has announced that its Android store has a significant number of apps available – although just how many is a bit fuzzy. According to Bloomberg, the company claims to have “about 700,000″ apps on Google Play, although this ad for the Nexus notes that there are “more than 675,000″. Apple announced last week that there are over 700,000 apps on its iOS App Store.

    700,000 is good and all

    BUT…

All 700,000 is NOT available on ALL Android devices. I have a New Toshiba Tablet and my friend has new Asus Tablet and I can get apps that he can’t and vice versa…. the same with Android phones…

I guess it depends on Ram, Cpu, etc,… but it’s frustrating…
