Duo Games and Gameloft have collaborated on the iOS analogue pad – which has been titled the Duo Gamer controller – and it currently supports five existing titles.

IGN reports that the controller is wireless via Bluetooth and runs on two AA batteries, as well as featuring four face buttons, two sticks and shoulder buttons. Each device comes bundled with a stand for your iOS device.

Gameloft has revealed five games that will support the controller: Asphalt 7: Heat, Brothers in Arms 2: Global Front, Modern Combat 3: Fallen Nation, N.O.V.A. 3 and Order & Chaos Online. More titles will follow.

The controller isn’t available yet, but will launch on Amazon, Target, Apple retail stores and others imminently. It will cost $79.99.

You can see a trailer of the pad in action here.

    That is really badly designed.

There doesn’t appear to be any notion of portability taken into account, so why not at least make an attempt at ergonomics? It’s a box with sticks on it.

Why not design an iPhone grip onto the unit so it can be used more like a portable console?

This thing is going to bomb harder than Mega CD add-on did.

Ah Gameloft, home of quality since 1999.

Looks like something you could pick at the bargain store in the same aisle as the POP Stations. :)

#4 I hope you’re ironic with this home of quality stuff? Gameloft does nothing more than copy-pasting from other games, with uninspired dull games as result.
