I Am Alive to release on PC in September

Thursday, 23rd August 2012 17:01 GMT By Stephany Nunneley

I Am Alive will be released on PC next month, Ubisoft has announced.

Like the console version, I Am Alive centers around a man’s journey to find his wife and daughter, who were lost during the “Event.”

The game has been enhanced for PC and offers higher resolutions and graphics as well as two new modes: Easy which will allow for infinite retries and Replay which permits players to replay any level to uncover “more secrets and hidden objects.”

Those who pre-order the game will receive the game Bloody Good Time for free.

I Am Alive will be available for £11.99 on Ubishop, Steam and other digital retailers September 13.

Ubisoft is a just a big “WTF” these days when it comes to PC. 95% piracy according to them, but launch most of their games on PC later, launch their own store and try to boast PC features to be loved by PC gamers while at the same time shafting them big time…

And they wonder why they are not having such a good time these days with PC gamers. Stop sending mixed messages, stop using a stupid DRM, do proper PC versions and use Steamworks, this should help tremendously Ubi. Look at Square Enix as a publisher and you’ll get it…

And then they’ll complain they don’t get enough sales… but they waited too long, the moment has passed on people being interested in this and may pick it up on a sale at Christmas but that’s it… hardly anyone will buy it when it releases.

We weren’t missing much by the sound of it, anyway. Some of my favourite sources say that the game looks interesting in regards to first impressions, but falls apart quickly.

As for Ubisoft, it’s the industry’s best example of the left hand not knowing what the right hand is doing at the moment.

Oh, and loki… if you’re that profoundly envious of PC users, of our mods, our higher FOV, fidelity, and resomolutions, then just buy a PC already. Shouting “I WANT A PC, DAMN IT!” in damn nearly every article doesn’t help any of us, least of all you. Just shut up and go out and buy one already.

And if you’re skint? Shut up and start saving.
