By Johnny Cullen, Thursday, 7 June 2012 21:35 GMT

Codemasters Birmingham creative director Stephen Hood shows us the Circuit of Americas track for the very first time in F1 2012 at E3. Watch below.

The Circuit of Americas track will host the first US Grand Prix in five years later this year. The last US-based race was held at Indianapolis and was won by McLaren’s Lewis Hamilton.

The circuit, based in Austin, Texas, is being shown for the first time as part of Codemasters’ line-up at E3 this year.

Watch creative director Stephen Hood talk you through a lap as Codies comms manager Andy “my body is a temple” Gray takes the sticks behind Hamilton’s 2012 McLaren above.

F1 2012 launches in “late September” for PS3, 360 and PC.
