The PS Vita certainly deserves better than this and even as you wait for more and better games Resistance: Burning Skies is a barely adequate stop gap.

In Short: First person shooters clearly do work on the PS Vita, but proving that fact is the only real achievement of this otherwise insipid portable experience.

Pros: Twin stick controls work very well and the weapons are interesting, even if none of them are really new. Multiplayer survival mode is good fun.

Cons: Set pieces and enemies so bland it makes Resistance 2 look recklessly experimental by comparison. Weak storytelling and poor graphics and sound.

Score: 4/10
Looks like we’re not missing much….
