MTV Multiplayer reports the two spin-offs created to promote Serious Sam 3 are on their way to Xbox Live Arcade. Side-scrolling shooter Serious Sam: Double D and prequel Serious Sam 3: BFE are both headed to the service in northern autumn, with the former boasting greater gameplay variety and two player co-op in addition to other bonuses like new weapons. Both titles were previously available only for PC, despite the core game’s multi-platform release.

Wait a minute Brenna, I think you’re getting terribly confused here. Serious Sam 3 is called Serious Sam 3: BFE and is a prequel to the first two games, but still the third game in the series.

There were two quirky spin-off games released in the run-up to the release of Serious Sam 3: BFE, one was Serious Sam: Double D and the other was Serious Sam: The Random Encounter.

    Now.

You are saying that Serious Sam 3: BFE, aka Serious Sam 3 and the third full game in the series is heading to XBLA? That can’t be right, the game is far too big to be released on XBLA. It would have to be a Games on Demand jobby at the very least.

Or do you mean that the two spin-offs to Serious Sam 3: BFE, the indie games Serious Sam Double D and Serious Sam: the Random Enounter, are coming to XBLA?
