    I found Risen rather boring, so I probably won’t buy this sequel.

    And if the reviews are to be trusted is even more boring then the original, which is a shame. I wanted this to be good, soooo much, but now I am super disappointed.

    If this is worse then the first game, than i’m disappointed in Pyranha.

    Gothic games were masterpieces.

    I hope this one comes with even more rats to kill viralshag.

    Really though, skip it and just get Sniper Elite V2. You’re welcome.

    @3: Except #3.

    @2: Read some of the reviews. They mention the combat has the same standards as Piranha bytes previous games before.

    So no, not going to buy it.

    To quote the review of IGN:

    “Creatures sometimes charge, sometimes stupidly wander about in circles while absorbing damage, and in many cases launch into irritating, uninterruptible attack sequences that make toe-to-toe fighting a mess.”

    Exactly one of the biggest problems of Risen 1 and a complete deal breaker for me.

    Gothic games were utter tripe, dull ugly corridor rpgs with lots of bullshit tinkering. Risen was even worse.

    @4, Haha, I only just saw that.

    I can openly admit I was having some serious difficulty trying to kill the critters in this game in the starting area. Must be my lack of PC-hardcore-RPG experience and console-RPG softness.

    Either way, it wasn’t something I found myself enjoying a whole lot so I won’t be buying this sequel. That and it looks like it has sale-purchase written all over it.
