NPD – Software top 25 had at least eight 3DS titles

Friday, 9th March 2012 18:37 GMT By Stephany Nunneley

In another note to Joystiq, NPD has told the site that eight out of the top 25 titles on the software chart in February belonged to 3DS, and it cited such “examples” as: Skylanders: Spyro’s Adventure, Mario Kart 7, Super Mario 3D Land, FIFA Soccer, Lego Star Wars 3: The Clone Wars, Lego Pirates of the Caribbean, Resident Evil: Revelations, and Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games. Joystiq notes the last two titles mentioned were February releases, while the rest are mainstays from previous releases. The NPD top 10 chart for February was devoid of any 3DS titles.

good to hear – and i have no doubt this will continue:
march: bit trip saga (europe), kid icarus uprising, rayman origins, planet crashers (???)
april: spirit camera, heroes of ruin
    may: mario power tennis
    june: rhythm thief
and the many many killer games that don´t have a release date yet but will come out this year. paper mario, kingdom hearts, luigis mansion 2 HORSES 3D (!!!) and more. it´s overwhelming how much there is to play really – also new great e-shop games are coming faster than i can actually play them. give me a break! just kidding, i love it. i think why sales are so great for 3ds is also because they got the pricing right. the games are from 30 to 45 euros. 45 is pretty rare. if you buy online you can find them all for 35 or less brandnew. there are still 12 games or so on my list for this year and i´m really excited about all of them.

Iam waiting for paper mario, luigis mansion 2 and kid icarus, those will make my year on the 3DS front, hey poly by the way i recommend ghost recon on the 3DS, it is a great game and the price is low right now 15$, is a mix between advance wars and fire emblem, if you are into those kind of games give it a shot.
