Dizzy return teased by Codemasters, date coming tomorrow
Codemasters has seemingly confirmed the return of ancient, egg-shaped mascot Dizzy, releasing a teaser video and launching Eggcitingnews.com
Codemasters PR head Rich Eddy has confirmed that a date for “Eggmergence Day” will be revealed tomorrow.
Dizzy was a hit for Codemasters in the 80s, with the platformer’s main series running from 1986 to 1992. Philip and Andrew Oliver, now of Blitz Studios, were the game’s original creators.

So either we’re going to end up with XBLA/PSN/Steam ‘HD remakes’ of Treasure Island & Fantasy World Dizzy, or some really really awful 3D adventure game reboot.

I had the awesome amiga 500 but i have never played dizzy games, i always tought they were mediocre… a new 2d platformer is very welcome!
