Monster Hunter 3G skipping online co-op for ad hoc
Capcom has stated in an FAQ on its support site that Monster Hunter 3G will not have an online co-op mode. It will instead use ad hoc wireless play with nearby Nintendo 3DS systems. Players will still be able to access the Internet to download event quests. Capcom has hinted it will localize the game in the west, but has yet to confirm any details on the matter. Thanks, Kotaku.

Not a problem for Japan, but a major sticking point for any ‘bringing it West’ plans. That and the whole ‘nobody in the West gives a shit about Monster Hunter’ thing, of course.

Capcom seems lazy bringing MH to this gen Consoles. Plus the title would fit perfectly on Vita. They seem to stick with lowres textures and animations as long as possible. And thats when a missing online co-op comes in. Everything in this regard feels like last decade.
From a non japanese standpoint, that is.
