Batman: Arkham City online pass grants access to Catwoman content

New purchases of Batman: Arkham City will include a one-use code enabling access to playable Catwoman content.

Warner Bros. confirmed the online pass system with Eurogamer, explaining that while Catwoman will appear in-game regardless, only those with the DLC will be able to play as the notorious quasi-villain.

The extra content is completely optional, and will available for £7.99 or 800 MS Points for those who pick up a used copy. Unlocking the Catwoman content grants four story scenes and a challenge map.

Catwoman joins Robin and Nightwing among many other offerings available as premium DLC, or as retailer exclusive bonuses.

Batman: Arkham City releases next week on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, with a PC version delayed until November and Wii U version expected.

Thanks, Gamasutra.

Great sequel to a already great game. Lots of variety, all of the tools Batman has to offer, great graphics, a stunning atmosphere transform this into a must-have title for Batman fans.

“Batman: Arkham City” is a worthy successor to the popular “Batman: Arkham Asylum”.

I don’t agree with this kind of locking of content, one thing it’s to charge for an online pass or dlc, but now we are getting incomplete games? this sucks.

Publisher don’t care about rental or second hand players so if you are part of that demographic just like you don’t care for them doing this, they feel the same about you. You aren’t making them money. WIth this type of DLC they are at least making portion off of second hand sales. If you want the game as it was intended buy it new.
