Report – AT&T pre-orders for iPhone 4S hit 200K, Apple store out of stock already
AT&T announced that when pre-orders for iPhone 4S went live on Friday, it received over 200,000 pre-orders within the first 12 hours. Numbers for Verizon and Sprint were unavailable to Reuters at post time, but both firms were also taking pre-orders. It has also been reported that Apple has already sold out of its initial stock in the phone, and a 1-2 week waiting list has been implemented. Analysts expect the firm to sell around 27 -28 million iPhones in the October-December quarter. iPhone 4S lands in stores on October 14.

What’s stupid about wanting to upgrade your iPhone? Is it stupid to go from a 360 elite to 360 slim? Or buy a new graphics card for your pc? I’m gonna upgrade my Wildfire for a desire… Why?
Cuz its a shiny new toy & I wants it!! Who you to judge?

@5, upgrading 360 elite to 360 slim without any “need” is the same thing like buying a shiny new toy and feeling happy about well… hmm nothing.
Buying new videocard is for better performance if you indeed need it. It’s not a toy, so your example is a bit off.
No one judging anyone for buying phones or any other devices.

^ #3 is being judgmental… Or just making a profound philosophical point, in which case my bad.
And if your buying a vid card, purely so your copy of BF3 looks as pretty as in the tv ads, well that’s for personal entertainment & quite clearly a toy. My point stands.
Most of us are adults & if we’re honest our phones, pc’s, consoles are the toys we’re still allowed.

Would probably get one seeing as I need a phone upgrade, I can’t bear the £500 price tag though. Might go for an iPhone 4, how much are those now?

@8 Apple stated that the 8GB version of the iPhone 4 will be $100(well, $99, but who falls in that trap anymore?) in U.S. I can bet it’ll be 100 euro in Europe.
