NFS: The Run demo landing on PSN and XBL October 18

EA has confirmed its Need the Speed: The Run demo will indeed be made available on October 18.

Last week, the demo was revealed to be heading to PS3 and Xbox 360, but the announcement was pulled by EA for reasons unknown.

According to Shack, the demo will feature two levels: Desert Hills, California and Independence Pass, Colorado along with a taste of Autolog.

As previously reported, players will be able to sit behind the virtual wheel of the Lamborghini Gallardo LP550-2 Valentino Balboni and the 2012 Porsche 911 Carrera S. The latter will be unlocked when you "refer a friend to download the demo."

The game will be made available on the aforementioned consoles, as well as 3DS, PC, and Wii November 17.
