THQ has confirmed a multi-platform demo for its latest foray into the Warhammer 40,000 universe, the boot-stomping third-person shooter Space Marine.

Destructoid reports the demo will hit PC and Xbox Live on August 23, with a PlayStation Network version due the day after.

Two levels will be showcased, one against a pack of orcs and one featuring the Jump Pack. Nice.

Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine is due on the three major platforms in early September.
