Square Enix looking to revive certain titles, says Wada
Yoichi Wada has said its looking to revisit certain titles from the Square Enix library and reboot them in the same way its been done for Tomb Raider.
CEO Wada said in a investors Q&A – where he had admitted that it was looking at Wii U as a possible platform for Dragon Quest X – made mention to the fact that the Crystal Dynamics reboot of TR does not have a number on it.
He says this is due to the company looking into the possibility of bring back a certain number of past titles, adding it was always investigating how to revisit them.
As well as Tomb Raider, Square Enix is introducing a new Deus Ex in August with Human Revolution, as well as bringing back Thief with the fourth installment in the series. Both games are being developed at Eidos Montreal.
There’s also been the small possibility of bringing back Legacy of Kain.

Can’t wait for Deus Ex hope it lives up to expectations…Information on Thief 4 will start coming out in August after Deus Ex comes out, or right before it comes out…maybe @ gamescom…

I just hope Square are more endeared to the west at the moment and open some more studios because as they said, the stuff their western devs are showing off right now is just incredible.

What about legacy of kain? I mean a legacy of KAIN, no raziel, i want a REAL sequel of blood omen: legacy of kain, i don’t want another “soul reavered” legacy of kain.
They forced soul reaver into the legacy of kain saga for commercial purposes ruining forever an awesome character like kain making raziel the main character(even in bo2 where kain is the main character raziel remains the center of the saga).
