Square Enix drops FFXIII-2 story details
Square Enix has given the first real story details on Final Fantasy XIII-2 ahead of the game being at E3 next week. Spoilers if you haven’t completed FFXIII.

The game takes place a few years after the end of Final Fantasy XIII when Lighting and crew saved Cocoon. As some survivors start over again,
Lighting is nowhere to be seen, and is mostly thought to be dead. Her sister Serah, however, that’s not the case, so therefore starts searching for her.
When Serah’s town becomes occupied by monsters, a character known as Noel saves her. It’s from there they search for Lightning.
The game’s first screens did get out, but Square has asked us to remove them.
Final Fantasy XIII-2, first announced in January, releases this winter for PS3 and 360.

so judging by the shitty Final Fantasy XIII plot:
Serah is now acquired some SUPER POWERS to begin a search for her sexy sister’s Ass with her bishounen lovely guy like Snow…
and basically when they saved Cocoon (saved everyone to be honest), their homeland is occupied by some beasts. Again…
Well, great… i can’t wait to not buy this game. Thanks Square Enix.

Looks like the same battle system as 13, a very good thing in my book.

I’ve removed the screens. They were meant to be under embargo until the first day of the show.

Oh Come one Square!
In Final Fantasy X-2 your task was to search for Tidus.
In Final Fantasy XIII-2 your task is to search for Lighting.
It seems that a random money-milking publisher just gone cheap on writers.

I didn’t read it, because I’ve still to finish the first (PS3 died hours through my first playthrough), but very much looking forward to the sequel.

@9 VERY SMART OF YOU !! DON’T READ OR WATCH ANYTHING !! Even the old teaser revealed 70% of the end Cut-Scene of the game !! Thank God I didn’t however my friend did and now he nearly reached Ch13 so I don’t know how he’s going to feel.
I don’t know what S-E was thinking in putting the majority of FF-XIII final cut-scene in a teaser video but it was stupid of them, they never did it before to any final fantasy even after 10 years !! I don’t know what got into them !!

Nice to see Square establishing a cheap-quel formula to rival Disney themselves.
Though technically they completely ripped the Disney straight to video sequel formula for the FFIV sequel. Oh ok, the formula is ‘Character’s children do same old shit’, but that doesn’t do justice to Disney’s mastery of the form.

WoW! That is so original….wait a minute
“Tidus is nowhere to be seen, and is mostly thought to be dead. His love, Yuna, however, thinks that’s not the case, so therefore starts searching for him.”
