Xbox and GFW Live activity for the week ending May 16

Thursday, 26th May 2011 05:17 GMT By Brenna Hillier

The most recent Xbox Live activity charts show L.A. Noire entering strongly, but unsurprisingly unable to topple the Call of Duty behemoth.

Major Nelson has just released the figures, which show Team Bondi’s crime thriller in sixth place. Otherwise, Live activity for the week was business as usual with Call of Duty, Halo, and the big hitters remaining fairly static.

Over on GFWL, Fable III’s recently released port is doing well alongside perennial PC favourites like Dawn of War II.

On the Arcade side, Portal: Still Alive is living up to its name, riding the wave of renewed interest thanks to Portal 2′s release, and in Indie-land, Minecraft clone FortressCraft is still topping.

I’ll never understand how COD is still so popular , it’s the samn goddamn thing every year, don’t people get bored as hell of it after sometime? I just don’t get it.

I don’t have to be a believer cause there’s nothing to believe in. What i said is the simple truth. I’ve bought all the COD’s so far and i’m tired of it, and if MW3 doesn’t have some serious changes i will skip it.

Counter-Strike is still one of the most played FPSes in the world, so the answer is quite clearly no.

If you build a game that has enough legs, people will stick with it.

I don’t mean to insult anyone, but buying CoD and expecting change really isn’t very bright at this point. You’ve had seven games to realize that next to nothing is ever going to change.

@5, Hmm for someone so dissatisfied, you sure moan about it a lot ;) Seriously though, like DSB said we all know what we’re getting from COD by now & a fair few million folk are happy with that :D
