Warner’s announced Lego Harry Potter: Years 5-7 for a Q4 2011 launch.

The game will launch on PS3, 360, Wii, PSP, PC, DS and 3DS. Warner’s also confirmed that an NGP version is in development.

Years 5-7 will be based on the final three books, or four movies, in the series: Order of the Phoenix, Half-Blood Prince and the Deathly Hallows.

“LEGO Harry Potter: Years 5-7 offers Harry Potter and LEGO fans an immersive experience that is fun and accessible for players of all ages,” said SVP of production and development at WBIE, Samantha Ryan. “With this game, TT Games captures everything fans love about the Harry Potter universe – and adds a distinct LEGO twist.”

“In LEGO Harry Potter: Years 5-7, we are giving gamers a truly epic conclusion to the most successful movie franchise in history with delightful gameplay for fans of all ages,” said managing director of developer TT Games, Tom Stone.

“We have built upon the first game and are giving fans even more magical abilities, puzzle solving and exploration, in addition to our distinctive brand of hilarious LEGO humour and charm.”

Years 1-4, which focused on the first four parts of the Harry Potter series, released last summer for PS3, 360, Wii and more.

It’s a great game, although there were people complaining about bugs in the PS3 version back when I was playing it. I’ve no idea if they’ve been fixed in the meantime.

We played the PS3 version and really enjoyed it, we found a couple of bugs (mostly trophy related, the only reason we didn’t get the Platinum in the end) but nothing that stopped us from spending 30+ hours with it over multiple playthoughs. We’re playing the Pirates Of The Caribbean one at the moment, having great fun with that too.
