A new Pokemon game? With a reveal coming in May? Be still, our beating hearts.

No, seriously. This isn’t all that impressive.

Nintendo 3DS Blog purports to have pulled the first scans of Dengeki’s May issue through some sort of time vortex, revealing images of a brand new Pokemon game for 3DS.

Except not, because – as Kotaku points out – the featured location and character are lifted straight out of Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness, a Gamecube spin-off released in ye olde year of 2005.

For reference, the game was initially met with mixed reviews, many of which cited an uneventful story and by-the-numbers design as major stumbling points.

Obviously, Pokemon Neon Plaid Sky Blue Advent Children this ain’t. As for exactly what we’re getting instead, we can’t entirely be sure just yet. When scans that don’t look like they were engineered in the darkest reaches of Blurriness Hell drop, we’ll let you know.

And that’s one of the worst Pokémon titles in history. Personally I’d preferred a remake of Snap if they were gonna go rifling through old titles.
But after releasing a new generation why re-release a title that’s from the 3rd gen?

Let a real gamer tell you whats what. The 3ds has more original titles in development from nintendo than the ds had

Kid icarus, mario kart, animal crossing, mario 3ds, paper mario all in the first year…….

Not to mention that these magazine scans are fake and the real game is likely a third mystery dungeon game.
