Fallen Frontier trailer gives off little Halo vibe

Ex-Bungie team Moonshot has released a trailer for its first project, upcoming sci-fi side-scroller Fallen Frontier. It contains space, but no Master Chief, which will please you or not.

The adventures of law enforcement on darkly dystopian Alpha Centauri, Fallen Frontier features both single player and two-player co-op.

Platforms are yet to be announced, but the game will be playable at PAX East.

Moonshot Studios was founded by Michel Bastien, Damián Isla, Rob Stokes, all three former Bungie and Halo staffers.

See the trailer below.

Thanks, Indie Games.

That looked pretty cool until the game itself started, then it seems a little slow and floaty. Potential, though – looks like a cross between Shadow Complex and PC-oldie ‘Abuse’.

As for platforms, there’s a 360-pad ‘X’ on-screen near the end of the video there, so I’m surmising 360 or PC.

Count me in, I’ve been screaming out for Shadow Complex 2 for ages so this may fill that void nicely…

I liked the split screen effect at about 1:30. Looks cool.

Slow and floaty due to different gravity maybe?

*Not being smug, just offering a plausible reason*

Well, maybe. :-D

The split screen effect looks similar to the way they do it in the newer LEGO games. Works very well there.

Still keeping up the tradition of ripping off James Cameron it seems.

That opening is lifted straight from Avatar.
