Ken Levine’s BioShock: Rapture foreword completed

Whatever the explanation for the recent quiet delay of the official BioShock novelisation, we know it must be getting close: Ken Levine has completed the foreword.

The Irrational Games creative director and BioShock creator said in a tweet today that he has only just written his contribution to BioShock: Rapture.

“I wrote my tiny corner of the BioShock novel last night,” he said.

“Hard to describe the feeling of writing for Ryan again after 3 years.”

When asked whether he was responsible for delaying the novel, Levine replied:

“I also broke up the beatles.”

… which means no, and he didn’t and isn’t, for those of you incapable of detecting humour.

Levine was slated to contribute a foreword to the book, which is generally written once the rest of the text is complete, suggesting the novel may be nearing completion.
