Naughty Dog not making Uncharted NGP because it's "a one game studio"

Naughty Dog community boss Arne Meyer has said the reason it's not making Uncharted for NGP is because it is "a one game studio."

Speaking at last week's PlayStation Experience press event in London, where Naughty Dog was showing Uncharted 3 for PS3, Meyer said that it was happy to hand over the reins to Sony Bend.

"We're a one game studio so it would be very challenging for us," he told EGTV.

"I know a long time ago we had looked at trying to do that as well, but it's really about what makes sense for the universe and for the franchise as well."

Meyer added: "Sony Bend's a great studio, we have a great relationship with them, so it's really exciting to see a new platform and see what they can do with it given all of the new control options they've got as well."

Uncharted NGP was shown off at the next-gen handheld's debut nearly two weeks ago, and is one of many big first-party IPs coming to the system, including Resistance, Killzone and LittleBigPlanet.

Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception, meanwhile, releases on November 1 in the US. A European release date is yet to be confirmed.
