New MK game is “Mortal Kombat being Mortal Kombat,” says Boon
On the latest edition of X-Play, host Adam Sessler sat down with Mortal Kombat creator Ed Boon to have a nice, wholesome chat about the latest game in the series, and how Netherrealm Studios went about returning the game to its roots.

Boon talks about the addition of Tag Team to the game, more on the awesome looking X-Ray move, how excited the team was about bringing Kratos to the PS3 version, and how this version of the game is “Mortal Kombat being Mortal Kombat.”
Watch the chat below, or through here.
Mortal Kombat is out in April on PS3 and Xbox 360.

I don’t know but since they’ve said that the game is a retelling / reboot of MK1 to 3, the game, there probably isn’t going to be any new characters.
Also, Kabal >>>>> all!

What a great interview. Boon seems like a good dude.
