Disgaea 4 confirmed for Europe in 2011

NIS has confirmed to VG247 that Disgaea 4 will release in Europe this year for PS3.

Previously, the next instalment in the company’s much-loved SRPG has only officially slated for US release.

The game hits on February 24 in Japan.

“We will definitely release the title in Europe in 2011,” said a rep, speaking by email.

An exact date has not yet been set, he added.

No specific date’s been announced for the US, either, but it was reported last year that it’s heading for a summer release.

Game Informer listed it as a September launch over the Christmas break.

A new gameplay video was released yesterday, showing the IP’s next game packs all the humour and Hell-based madness fans have come to know and love.

Disgaea 4 follows the story of Valbatoze, a vampire boy.

Always nice to get confirmation for NIS/Atlus stuff in Europe. Seems crazy in this day and age that there’s no proper European presence for them.

Yes! Whoo.

I would have probably imported this from the US anyway – Disgaea 3 was the game that finally made me buy a PS3 all those years ago. I am way too addicted to Nippon Ichi’s SRPGs.

This can’t come soon enough.
