Disgaea 4: Return headed to Vita, two new games announced

Disgaea 4 is just one of two Vita games in the works at RPG specialist Nippon Ichi, along a new title starring fan-favourite Asagi.

Nippon Ichi made several announcements at the Makai Wars Live event in Japan this weekend, as reported by Gematsu and Anime News Network.

The most interesting announce from a western perspective is probably Disgaea 4: Return, a new version of the 2011 PlayStation 3 RPG headed to Vita in Japan in January 2014. An international release has not been confirmed.

However, Nippon Ichi also announced Criminal Girls: Invitation - a working title - which hits Vita in northern winter. Again, no international release was touted.

Much more tentatively, the developer revealed its Asagi 10th Anniversary Commemoration Project. Asagi is a minor Disgaea character who has become something of a mascot for Nippon Ichi; the new game will feature her in a starring role at last. Unfortunately, no platform or release window information was provided.

Thanks, Polygon.
