TGS 2010 has record attendance

CESA, the organiser of Tokyo Game Show, has confirmed record attendance figures for this year’s event.

According to the just-announced figures, 207,647 visited the Tokyo Game Show this year compared to 185,030 last year.

This also marks the first time in its history that the show’s broken the 200,000 attendance barrier.

This years figures breaks as follows.

  • 9/16 (business day): 24,764
  • 9/17 (business day): 24,229
  • 9/18 (public day): 81,469
  • 9/19 (public day): 77,185

Some of the developers might be saying that gaming in Japan is dead, but luckily nobody seems to have told the consumers.
