PSP passes 15 million sales in Japan

Famitsu said this morning that PSP has now sold more than 15 million consoles in its home territory.
The Enterbrain figures show all PSP SKUs beat the milestone between December 12, 2004 and September 12, 2010.
Global PSP sales stand at 48.6 million, as of the release of Sony’s first quarter figures in July.
Global PSP software sales now stand at 214.1 million units.
PSP has tussled hard with DS in Japan this year, the two neck and neck at yearly totals of 1,421,678 and 1,597,712 respectively, according to Media Create.

Just one question, why is there a pic of a PSPGo, which has sold about 30,000 total of that 15,000,000? Hardly representative

It’s the newest in the psp family, & together the psp family has sold 15mil in Japan, so there’s nothing wrong letting the GO represent, despite it’s laughable sales.

No PSP has sold 15M as you can see but DS sales in Japan are about 31M. So more than double the PSP sales.
