Capcom working on sequel to Resident Evil: Degeneration

Capcom has announced a sequel to Resident Evil: Degeneration, its CGI film.

It's to be called Resident Evil: Damnation.

Slated for release in Japan sometime in 2012, it's currently in production with Sony Pictures.

Once again, the main character will be Leon Kennedy, but that bit is about all that's known at the moment.

The first film, Resident Evil: Degeneration, has shipped more than 1.6 million DVDs around the world since it released on the format.

The latest Resident evil film, Afterlife, with real actors and a bit of CGI and 3D, was number one at the US box office last weekend and generated $27.7 million.

This means number five is going to happen whether you like it or not.
