Star Wars: The Force Unleashed 2 to get a demo
LucasArts has said a demo for Star Wars: The Force Unleashed 2 will be made available before the game’s release in October.
Speaking with Joystiq at gamescom, a representative for LucasArts said it will be similar to the one shown at the show.
According to Stiq, the demo it played featured Starkiller trying to escape from Kamino. To get out of this prison, he “plummets down a tower”, crashed through a dome, and proceeds to fight his way out using the Force, mind tricks, and lightning.
If you succeed in escaping your confines and thwart your enemies’ attempts to stop you, you’ll get on a ti-fighter and escape the planet.
Neato.
No date on the demo was provided, but at least it’s coming.
Star Wars: The Force Unleashed 2 releases on October 26 in the US and October 29 in the UK for PS3, 360, Wii and DS – while the PSP version has been canned.

Producer told me you shouldn’t believe every rumor you read on the internet…
And to be honest, why should they cancel a sequel to the sequel of one of the most successful LA games before the second one is even out? I doubt it will be a flop.
That doesn’t make sense and you can say the same things about the LEGO games. LEGO Star Wars III looks really good.
So either this was some bullshit rumor or the new LA president has no idea what he’s doing.

Demo will mean a lot, not sure how willing I’d be to play through another force unleashed game if they haven’t fixed the things that made the original frustrating and not very fun.

The first game had so many frustrating moments for me, and at least my copy was very buggy. My character got stuck in walls, and girders and such. I actually called Lucasarts Tech support on one mission, something about blowing the Tanks causing the game to crash, and got a work around. Didn’t Lucas even say the part of bringing the Star Destroyer down, was a broken event?
I will buy this game, but I am Seriously thinking of waiting until they come out with a GOTY edition with all the DLC..that way I won’t get gouged for DLC that is super short.

I very much doubt that Lucas Arts will put as much time, creativity and money as Sony did for GOW3.

I just ask that they make the lightsabers feel like lightsabers and not stun batons. I want to cut up my enemies not poke them.
