BioWare confirms advanced Jedi classes in SWTOR

swtor

BioWare has confirmed Advanced Classes for the Jedi Knight as Guardian and Sentinel.

Here’s the blurb:

Whether you want to defend the weak and inspire your allies to amazing feats as a Guardian or learn the art of using two Lightsabers simultaneously to create an intricate web of damage as a Sentinel, the Advanced Class system in The Old Republic will help you customize your character.

Bio’s also updated the Biography section with Astromech T7-01.

Check out the Jedi class screens below, along with the video.

Game’s out next spring.

Seriously, not impressive at all levels. Or they just trying too much in to the copying WOW or they are fucking up with the MMORPG genre. I don’t know.

I hope i can check this MMO at Gamescom.

I’m not as bilious as Erthazus on this game, but this is Exhibit 432 for Why Star Wars Is Not A Good MMO Franchise.

They have to cut together some (bad) machinima to hide the Jedi whaling away on guys interminably with her alleged lightsaber until she does enough damage to do a moderately cool finishing move. It looks like…exactly what it is.

In KOTOR, the rest of the game was so awesome that you could pretend not to notice the weaksauce lightsabers and blasters. Plus BioWare was free to fine-tune the classes and single-player challenges without a care for “balance.” In this…we’ll see.

This was a variation in the original KOTOR so it makes sense that it’s added to the MMORPG.
