More games in Tales series coming for PS3 and PSP

Looks like fans of the Tales series can look forward to more titles hitting retail – if leaked information from an upcoming issue of Jump is anything to go by.
According to information obtained by Andriasang, PS3′s getting two Tales games and PSP is getting one as well.
One is Tales of Graces, originally released on Wii, and coming to PS3 this winter in the form of Tales of Graces F. It will contain some visual improvements as well as added special attacks for battle, and a new outfit for Sophie.
The other PS3 Tales game is currently without a name, with Jump only describing it as “New Tales” alongside the game’s first image illustration.
For PSP, Tales of the World Radiant Mythology 3 is in the works for 2011 and it features 80 Tales series characters, including Aspel from Tales of Graces.
There’s loads more through the links there, and we’ll mail Namco to see if it can confirm any of the information.

I hope they localize these games but I doubt they would. Namco is pretty much Jap-only these days.

Tales of Vesperia was localised though, and that was a great game. I thunk TOG is being localised on Wii, so obviously re use the localisation…

Nope. The Wii version of ToG is Jap-only, too, as far as I know (according to Gamespot).

it’s a shame the west didn’t get Vesperia on PS3, the most well crafted jrpg this gen.

@4 Tales Union is far from a reliable news source.
What they’ve basically done is taken an extremely vague indication of a release date (a game’s magazine whose release schedule is months out of synch with the industry lists a game as potentially having a release date, SO IT MUST BE TRUE!), and runs with it.
That’s what’s commonly referred as “making the news”, as opposed to “telling the news”. If the official developers / publishers haven’t said anything about it, then how would the magazine know? The answer: they don’t.
If you want to know if it’ll happen, wait to hear something from Namco personally. Personally, I wouldn’t hold my breath.

i am a big fan of jrpgs. and this genre is very rare on the ps3.
And Namco Bandai disappointed me that they did not release Tales of Vesperia on PS3 in EU/US. Shame on you NB.

Namco Bandai really don’t give a shit about Europe.

@9 If a franchise constantly under-performs in a region, of course they’re not going to keep funding the release of it there. If people want to see more of these games released over here, they need to start voting with their wallet more.
You never hear people in the west complaining when a western game doesn’t come to the east, which happens just as often.
