First Rayman Origins episode out this Christmas, being considered for 3DS, PC

Ubisoft will release the first episode of Rayman Origins this Christmas for PS3 and 360.

According to the game’s blog, other platforms like 3DS, PC and iPad are being “considered,” with a 2011 release planned.

The title, a return to Rayman’s PSone 2D platformer roots, was announced at E3 last month during Ubisoft’s press conference. Original creator Michel Ancel is looking after the project.

It’s currently being made via Ubi’s “UBIart” framework system, which will go open source next year.

Thanks, Gamerzines.

Wait, this is episodic too? Is it some kind of new prerequisite for downloadable old-skool 2D platformers?

@ Blerk..

Yes “Episodic” defined in the Webster Dictionary
Verb, To Make or Acquire a SHIT LOAD more money, by doing a whole game, breaking it up into Episodes, and selling it for more then the Average Retail of the Full Product would make.

So Blerk…Take off you shirt and Give Ubisoft your Man Tits because they are going to milk you DRY!!!
