Star Wars: The Old Republic – E3 Trailer

If one were to say that the E3 trailer for Star Wars: The Old Republic was awesome, that would be an understatement.

More like fucking awesome.

Granted, it’s cinematics, but so what? It gets you pumped, and that is the point.

Lucasarts is showing the game at its booth at E3 this week, and EA will probably show it off too at its press event tomorrow at 1.00pm PST/ 4.00pm EST.

Game’s out sometime during spring 2011.

Expensive looking. I thought that this was like properly Old Republic, not directly before Episodes iV, V and VI? If so, why are there clone troopers?

Every time I see CG trailers like this it makes me wish in game graphics were at this level now. Its sad I’ll be dead when we reach this level of graphics in game.

@ 8: We should have real-time ray tracing in the next decade, so we should have GFX even *better* than that just around the corner… theoretically.

Loads of troops ambush aload of Sith who apparently couldnt sense they were about to get ambushed. These bog-standard soldiers are somehow a match for an army of lightsaber wielding, force mastering Sith and their drones.

They fight and fight. All seems lost for the soldier guys when a female Jedi shows up and fights the boss Sith guy. She then beats him with a x10 Kamehameha.

The main soldier guy then fires a flare into the sky as do some other soldiers in the distance, flares which can be seen from space apparently. Speaking of space, it shows some ships flying to the planet then ends.

I find it rather ridiculous. The whole force-thingy was totally different in the movies, better imho.

Can’t breathe! So Awesome! They so need to make a proper star wars CG movie. How do they keep topping these CG trailers? Last years one was epic, this years trailer is even more epic.
