Red Faction: Armageddon coming March 2011

THQ said today that the next in the Red Faction series, Armageddon, will release next March for PC, 360 and PS3.

The game features Darius Mason, the grandson of previous protagonists.

The game was announced over the weekend, showing alien enemies and underground locations. Get some shots here.

You’ll get more on this from E3 next week.

The last Red Faction game, Guerilla, quickly beat 1 million units after launching in 2009.

THQ Announces Red Faction: Armageddon

THQ today announced the next title in the award winning Red Faction franchise is currently in development at internal studio Volition, Inc. and is scheduled to ship for the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system, PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system and Windows PC in March 2011.

Red Faction: ArmageddonT moves beneath the surface of Mars as the fate of the planet hangs in the balance. As Darius Mason, players fight to save humanity from an even greater evil that threatens to extinguish all life on the planet.

Leveraging Volition’s groundbreaking Geo-Mod 2.0 technology, Red Faction®: ArmageddonT offers never-before-seen physics-based weaponry that redefines gameplay in the shooter genre.     What is it with all the NotNathanHale’s? Dead Space guy removes his visor – notnathanhale! The new infamous man, again he, too, is a notnathanhale. Now look, you can even get them inked! Does it mean that the Resistance star character is the centre of the generic universe for viddeah game characters, or what?

    Complete garbage this series is. Sorry, wanted to like it, it’s just so last-gen, plain, and weak. Can’t belive the name actually still has legs to stand on.
