Original: Ubisoft's currently investigating an issue where Splinter Cell: Conviction is locking up for some Xbox 360 users.

A solution is being worked on, but Ubisoft Technical Support has posted a short-term fix over on the game's forums.

"Try simply disconnecting from Xbox Live and see if you encounter the same problem," wrote a company spokesperson, who also suggesting clearing the System Cache and then re-booting the game, while not connected to Xbox Live.

"I was able to reproduce that same problem, and you most likely have noticed you should try clearing the system cache and going back through the level. We have reported this information for you, so in the mean time try deleting the cache (steps below) and retry the level.

"Sorry for the issue (for those running into it) and hold tight for further information", the message concluded.

Step-by-step instructions on how to do this can be found through the link above.

Conviction's out in North America today, and the UK on Friday.
