Darksiders demo releases today, new trailer

THQ's pushing today's release of the Darksiders demo on both PS3 and 360, with a talk of its power to "engage new audiences" and a new video.

The demo features the game's entire first dungeon, the Twilight Cathedral, amounting to about 90 minutes of playable content.

"We believe this new demo on Xbox 360 and PlayStation3 will help to further increase the success of this game and engage new audiences," said THQ's Travis Plane.

The game has proved to be a surprise hit, releasing just after the New Year to achieve a current ship figure of 1.2 million.

Darksiders follows War, one of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, as he unravels the mystery of a mis-triggered Armageddon.

AGOURA HILLS, Calif. February 25, 2010 -- THQ Inc. (NASDAQ: THQI) today announced that a playable demo of its critically acclaimed action-adventure title DarksidersTM is available for download on Xbox LIVE® and PlayStation® Network.

This robust demo contains the entire first dungeon from the game, the Twilight Cathedral, boasting approximately 90 minutes of playable content. This extended gameplay experience delivers epic boss battles, intricate puzzles to solve and equipment to uncover to bolster WAR’s arsenal.
