Rumour – Monster Hunter Tri heading to PSP this year

monsterhunter

Hong Kong magazine Gamewave may just have a potential megaton in it’s next issue, which claims Monster Hunter Tri’s jumping ship from Wii to PSP.

The game, titled Monster Hunter Tri Portable, is apparently due for a release by the end of the year on the handheld.

It even shows the game’s logo on the cover clear as day.

No more information was revealed.

So far, MH Tri is currently coming to Wii only. After a release last year in Japan, it’s due for a release in Europe in April.

Watch the mountains. Seriously, watch them.

Thanks, Siliconera.

This would keep the PSP in a good place in Japan if true. Funny how while it seems to be lacklustre in the West the PSP has really done well in Japan considering the huge DS following.

But how many times will the Japanese public by damn near the same game? MH really doesn’t seem to be something that’s reinventing itself each time and Capcom are milking it as hard as they can. Sure the Japanese gamers seem to lap up the same shit endlessly, but at somepoint they might realise that hey wait… I already did this… 4 times.

On the evidence, Hunam, quite a bit!

I mean, we’re on FFXIII currently, so MH has ages to go yet.

You say that, but the FF games are different stories in different worlds with different battle systems. MH whilst being good… is almost a palette swap each time.
