Left 4 Dead 2 demo on Oct. 27 is for preorders only

left4dead24

Valve has confirmed to Shack that the Left 4 Dead 2 demo announced this morning at TGS will be exclusive to Steam and Xbox 360 preorder customers only on October 27.

Shack also reports that retail outlets claim the demo will go public on November 3, but Valve has not confirmed that bit.

Shame. Preorder people are getting all the goodies as of late.

It used to be that demos were meant to get people interested in your game by having a try before you buy. Remember that long forgotten time?

My first thought exactly… I mean what’s the point of a demo if you’ve already preordered? So you know whether or not to cancel it? :s

Doesn’t the idea of a demo that’s only available to the people who pre-order the game kinda… defeat the point?

if you’ve played L4D1 then i think you have a fairly good idea of what to expect.
