Watch these PS3 Slim “Playface” ads, if you dare

Tuesday, 25th August 2009 00:55 GMT By Nathan Grayson

Sony’s new Japanese ad campaign for the PS3 Slim, called “playface,” is — bar none — the most terrifying thing we’ve ever encountered while working in the rough and tumble world of games blogging.

If this is indeed what play looks like in Japan, then we now know why Japanese people are always buried in their work.

To escape. To escape from the nefarious, pitch-black boxes that sit in their living rooms. The horror, the horror.

We’ve locked the commercials away after the break, with the hope that they may never seep forth from beyond the veil.

Why did you bestow this evil upon us, Joystiq? Why?

I don’t mean to be rude, Nathan… but you should see the faces you pull while playing certain games. You’d be surprised.

@Macrike u’r so right. but u shouldn’t expect ppl to understand this. remember that most of them have simple minds.

btw, does anyone know a free application which u can use to record movies using your webcam?

pretty damn shit set of ads.
whats happened to sonys creative team? a badger with a ps3 attached to his back while flying over a forest would have trumped this shit by a mile.

Actually, “a badger with a ps3 attached to his back while flying over a forest” sounds like several shades of *awesome*!
