Japanese anime studio Production I.G. has confirmed it's involved in the animated version of Dante's Inferno with the Film Roman production company, according to this AnimeNewsNetwork report.

Apparently, director Yasuomi Umetsu already revealed the project on his blog in May.

Umetsu, Ergo Proxy director Shukou Murase, and other directors will oversee the six-part project.
